A mandatory update on the European SEPA Schemes may cause delays in payment processing over the St. Patrick's Day weekend.

On Sunday March 17th 2024, The European SEPA Schemes will undergo a mandatory update.

Irish banks and Credit Unions may experience delays in SEPA payment processing over the weekend of March 15th to 17th.

For payments to reach the intended account between the 15th and 17th of March, payments should be made on or before Thursday 14th of March.

The advice for members is to ‘pay early’.

We are advising members to check what payments they may have planned for this time and to effect payments on or before Thursday 14th of March to ensure that funds are received on time.
