We want to let you know that there will be no SEPA classic transfer payments processed on Thursday 1st May as it is the European May Day Bank Holiday.
On May 1st any payments you send or receive to or from other financial institutions, using SEPA classic, will not be processed until Friday May 2nd.
NOTE: Transfers made on Wednesday April 30th may not reach the intended account until Friday May 2nd.
SEPA stands for Single Euro Payments Area. A SEPA payment is sent through the SEPA Scheme. The SEPA payment scheme was created to simplify international euro transfers between EU member states. SEPA classic transfers is what we are used to in the Irish banking system, with transfers generally taking one working day to reach the destination account.SEPA instant is coming...
