Bank Transfers over May Day Weekend 2026

Friday 1st of May is a European Bank Holiday. SEPA Classic transfers on this day and over the Bank Holiday weekend, including Monday 4th of May, will not be processed. Therefore, we are advising members to use SEPA Instant where available or to make a transfer early if you need funds to reach an account before the weekend.

For SEPA Classic transfers, we have been advised that Thursday, 30th April at 12pm is the deadline. SEPA Classic transfers made after 12pm on Thursday may not reach the destination account until Tuesday, 5th of April.

This will affect both transfers in and out of your accounts.

IMPORTANT: Please also note, these non-banking days (Friday and Monday) will affect direct debits. If you have a direct debit due to be debited from your bank between 1st and 4th of May, this will not be debited until Tuesday 5th. Please ensure you leave funds in your bank account to meet this direct debit.
